About Us

In 2022, I heard about the existence of Creative Reuse Centers across the country and began visiting them. Basically, these centers are thrift stores for art supplies, but I found that they are valuable in a myriad of other ways. We educate the public about the value of creative reuse and be places for unwanted and discarded art supplies to find a home other than the landfill. If there is enough space, we can offer arts and crafts classes to our community to be a place for artists and others who would like to gather and share their creativity and inspiration. By weighing every donation, we were able to keep track of what we are saving from the landfill. To date, we have accumulated nearly seven tons of materials- everything from paint to fabric. We have consistently offered classes and formed a small community of makers that delights in these weekend afternoon gatherings to create and socialize. We couldn't have imagined a better outcome! 

As a nonprofit organization, our goal is to inspire creativity and support sustainability throughout Cape May County and beyond. We help reduce waste by offering a reliable source of gently used and new art supplies at affordable prices that would otherwise be discarded. We strive to educate the public about the power of creative reuse and the value of the arts through workshops and classes in a wide variety of disciplines. We welcome artists, crafters, teachers, makers, parents, kids, and everyone else who wants to be creative and support the health of our environment.
